UPDATE: Uh, yeah, PX is not gone, it's all back and everything. Kthx. This thread is when we all thought it was gone for good.

Yes, the sad day has come where we had to say goodbye to PumpXtreme. The site has been going downhill for a long time and today it's reached rock bottom. All of you who were a member at the PX forums, check your e-mail inbox. You would have gotten an e-mail such as this one:

----

The following is an email sent to you by an administrator of "PLEASE READ FORUM FOR RANSOM INFO!". If this message is spam, contains abusive or other comments you find offensive please contact the webmaster of the board at the following address:

webdude@pumpxtreme.net

Include this full email (particularly the headers).

Message sent to you follows:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello,
Sad to let everyone know, but we have hacked the PX forums, please check them out because we accept ransom!
Thanks,
ForumHackerz
Well, guess what guys. We think BriBoy, the webmaster of PumpXtreme, sent this e-mail. Here's why, according to a conversation with WayneC02:
[11:06:42 PM] Funbox64X2: pumpxtreme is gone
[11:06:49 PM] Wayne C 02: yeah, i noticed.
[11:07:08 PM] Wayne C 02: before we were 'forbidden' i saw it and it was bri posting something about paying to use the forums
[11:07:14 PM] Wayne C 02: and then he masked his name as forum hackerz
[11:07:18 PM] Funbox64X2: what
[11:07:19 PM] Funbox64X2: WHAT
[11:07:21 PM] Funbox64X2: O_O
[11:07:32 PM] Wayne C 02: and my and your name was randomly deleted, while people like darkeva and pumprevolution.com were still okay
[11:07:37 PM] Funbox64X2: check your offline history, I have to see this
[11:07:42 PM] Funbox64X2: do you have it?
[11:07:50 PM] Wayne C 02: its not there anymore
[11:08:08 PM] Funbox64X2: but you can't see an offline view?
[11:08:38 PM] Wayne C 02: nope, i have to be online to see it, it says
[11:12:26 PM] Funbox64X2: so briboy did it
[11:12:31 PM] Wayne C 02: yep.
[11:12:34 PM] Wayne C 02: no surprise, really
[11:12:38 PM] Funbox64X2: I'm shocked
[11:12:43 PM] Wayne C 02: really? i'm not.
[11:12:50 PM] Wayne C 02: he never did like anyone talking against him
So yes. It's gone. Anyone have anything to say?
R.I.P. PX
"For you were the beginning of this community. But since the so-called webmasters decided to update the page about as often as I was getting laid back then, then good riddance. We've evolved into a few other sites where the people running their respective sites actually give a shit.
And having to pay to use PX? Don't make me laugh. You'd have to pay me to go back there Briboy. And wayne's right, you never could take anything so you finally got out of the kitchen. Hopefully you haven't cursed a pump machine lately by actually playing it or even touching it. Or even looking at it for that matter.
Thanks for the memories PX but you won't be missed."
Let's not diss PX too much. As we all know, the idea and plans for this site came from a little bit of all the other existing forums, and PX was a big part of it. It was even listed being part of the webring at one time, down below the forums. I think we can show PX a little more respect, being as old as it was (not the oldest, but older than PH). So yeah, I guess that finishes out what I have to say. Thanks Koop for sticking up for PX too.
Wow...that's kind of sad. Someone should write a eulogy for it.
There goes the 124-page accomplishments thread, where I once talked about how excited I was to pass Techno Extravaganza with a D for the first time.
But let's not dwell too much on the past, it was an old site. Here's to the future of PH.
--------------
Current piano projects: None atm.
Some of my performances: Feux D'artifice, by Claude Debussy, La Cathedrale Engloutie, by Debussy, Nocturne in B Major, Op. 62 no. 1, by Frederic Chopin, Ballade no. 1 in G Minor, by Chopin, Amberley Wild Brooks, by John Ireland,Prelude in D Minor, Op. 28 No. 24, by Chopin
Show me a person who describes anything as "overrated", and I'll show you a person who's run out of good ideas.
PX was more than just a forum to me. It was the #1 forum I posted in for four years, and it was the site that introduced me to the Pump community and Pump in general. It was my favorite place to go on the internet at the time... my first and only Pump GF was a big poster there. We got dirtypixel.net, kickedup.com, crazydoubles.com, pumpcore.com, and pumphaven.com, none of which would exist without PX's existance. Rest in peace, for real. That site was truly legendary, despite what it turned out to become.
From what I remember there was one forum with two announcements.
One announcement talked about sending money to a paypal address, but didn't list the address.
I don't remember the other one right now :\ Hopefully it'll come back to me.
