Well I'm not calling them anything less when they're the ones who obviously triggered Bri's decision to kill the place. I'm angry, dammit. You know what all those posts said. They made Tec decide to de-mod me from the forum after 18 months, whatever, but now they're not satisified until the site is totally gone? Just going there to bitch and hate about the site? How can you expect any webmaster to want to sit and take that bullshit? It's god-awful. I loved PX.

Anyways, onto responding to other people:

Hangook_Jin: don't say that. PH will never replace what PumpXtreme was. We're not "better"; we're something completely different.

Kuhazan: we're getting our own locations database.

eXonyte: I suggest you PM LLMax about this. He wanted to do a locations database as well, and maybe you two can exchange ideas on setting one up here? The more the merrier.

Still though turk, they weren't the only people responsible for the killing of PX. I'm sure mclaren would admit that they at least had something to do with it. But we're all guilty of it in a way since all the hate/bullshit/whatever you call it snowballed because of a lot of us. Noone really tried to put a stop to it so it got to the point it was basically a chore to even click on the forums link.

Oh well, pump is evolving and this, along with PC is at least some aspects, is just the next step in evolution. PX had its good run, but it's dead.  -_-

The thing that made Bri make that decision was those two threads in the Xtreme Lounge. I can guarantee it. I can also guarantee that had those posts not been there, PX would still be here right now.

Hell, if this ransom thing were legit, I'd pay to bring it back myself, keeping the same mods and everything (me not included). Seriously. PX was more than just a forum to me.

How can you guarantee it? Are you secretly Briboy as well? Geez man, just because you can't stand anyone from PC aside from mclaren, don't put all the blame on them for killing PX. It could've been killed for a lot of reasons. And really, was keeping PX around in the sad state it was in really worth it? It had a great run for the most part, but all good things come to an end.

If there were 2000 members at PX, there will be 2000 varying opinions as to what pushed BriBoy over the edge.

Let's be honest, there wasn't much else to the site but the forum.  Once a few know-it-alls started posting whatever they wanted and flamed whoever they pleased, it got unpleasant because there wasn't anyone to control the place.

And since the forum wasn't that much near the end, PX went bye-bye.

After being little more than a lurker for the past year, I couldn't help but think "WTF" after getting that hacker e-mail two or three days after my FIRST post.
If this guy didn't care anymore and doesn't update the site, he could sell it to someone who would.
Or at the very least, say the site is closing or do something to the effect of this (my favorite old TFC community).

I don't know the whole situation (and no one here probably knows who the heck I am, but that's beside the point), but I am somewhat amused by the following quote on pumpcore:
"So who will now be sourced as THE Pump site?"

I forgot there was even a site CALLED pumpcore.

I am however glad to see THIS site up again.
If it weren't for Turkeyslam's sig (or profile - or wherever I found it) on pumpxtreme I'd still be staring at the world's ugliest filler page.

Well glad you found it. And as far as who's gonna become THE pump site to go to, you decide that for yourself.

*EDITED*  Even though it's a legit question, I've removed what I had to say regarding it because it has no business here.  If anyone really wants to discuss it, let's move it to AIM or PM's  Thanks.  *EDITED*

That really is amusing. :D
