I get asked this question lots of times, and since I like making threads in this place, what the crap, I'll make a topic out of it. I go by two names, as many of you know, Turkeyslam on forums and Funbox as my stepmaker/AIM/MSN name. Here's how I got each:

Funbox = a weird bastardization of two things. Fun refers to "Fun Zone", the Weird Al song which then was my favorite song ever... it was my life's theme song or something. I was totally obsessed with it. "Box" goes with the (now gone) television channel called "The Box", which I was obsessed with at the time. Incidentally, that channel still exists here in the UK where I live, but unlike the American counterpart which only had good music, the one here is unfortunately terrible. Just mainstream garbage mixed with random UK pop crap. I later learned that the word "funbox" has two other meanings, one of which has to do with skateboarding, and one which, uh, is a derogatory term for a certain female body part... uh... but rest assured, I didn't have either of these in mind when I created the name. :nope: I was 10 years old when I came up with the stupid thing.

"Turkeyslam" is the most uncreative thing ever. I had my Funbox name at PX when I registered the day the new Ikonboard opened there (in March 2002), and then after making it I decided I wanted something new, so I force-fed a new name. At the time, Turkey March and Slam were my favorite songs in Pump, so there you go. How deep. Anyway, it sounds funny, so I keep it.

The 64 and 27 that used to be attached to each... 64 = not Nintendo 64, but I'd rather not talk about what that means, heh, and the 27 is a number that references to Weird Al. Only true fans would know why, heheh. Weird Al's music is the shiznit.

So how about all of you?

Hi!
I'm a new member here.
I got my username by typing in my name while my computer is in English Typing Mode
(This may sound a bit complicated. I'm not in an English speaking society.)

Back when I started college here in the states (2003), I was getting into the Blues Brothers.  It was also around that time that I got back to playing Pump after about a 2-3 year hiatus.  As such, I was at a low skill level until early 2004.

I had loved almost any song done by the Blues Brothers, but then I immersed myself in Kpop once more.  To remember my roots (both home, and music), I made this name,  Seoul Man, as a twist on the song, and as a way to explain my Korean American heritage, and tastes in music.

I just thought mine had a nice ring to it, that's all. Plus it was one of several code names I used in Laser Quest games before I got into Pump, along with "deerhunter", "lionheart", "parallax", "migraine", "einstein", and a few others. Today I use "vook", "starian", "banya", "novasonic", and "mr. larpus".

i also posted this in the Tounge Massage Parlor topic , so i jus copied it

well , most girls ive talked to online think it means something else " put ur mind in the gutter and you will know " but its really a name cause i have a overbite , so in the spot where my top and bottom row dont touch , my tongue would stick out a lil. and i had a bad lisp when i was in grade school. i still cant say S's perfectly , so i try not to talk using words with alot of S's in them.

and the 73 , well you kinda have to know me and my friend rita and how we joke around, but its jus like a sex position cause we were joking around outside her house one day , and i think it was the day we had a crazy daisy sprinkler toy and she only had a white shirt on , and i told her not to come close to it, cause her shirt would be see-thru , but she came neways so i soaked her with it. then she came after me and we wrestled n stuff and when i got her on the ground i started humping her in this weird position and my other friend nick started chanting " 73, 73 ,73" so thats how i got 73

and you have to realize that me and rita are good friends and the "humping" in this explanation isnt like in a sexual way , just a joking way.
