So yeah, after 1.01 graced us at the tail end of February, it looks like we're kicking into high gear as the start of April brings us another patch, this one dropped without a teaser to start: I suppose that could be a trend? In any case, looking at the patch notes, here's the summary:
New Songs
Original Tunes Zephyr / Tatsh
J-Music Ecstatic Vivace / Last Note. Loser / Kenshi Yonezu (Cover) [NOTE: Exclusive to Japanese release]
K-Pop Fly High (FULL VERSION) / Dreamcatcher Time for the Moon Night / GFriend You & I / Dreamcatcher
World Music Dura / Daddy Yankee [NOTE: Exclusive Central/Latin American territories]
Xross Can Can / BeautifulDay
Looks like the focus on new songs meant they didn't add a new Quest batch, almost like this was a bonus. Anyway, some notes on the songs:
-The addition of the two new K-Pops finally breaks us out of the stuff revealed but not released. -Zephyr is a spiritual successor to Xepher, much like B2 was to Bleed. -Yep, time for some area exclusives again, with Latin America finally getting some more love, this time with a song that has actually been an international modest hit. Now I'm even more jealous than past times! Japan's getting a pretty big one too, a sleeper hit boosted by, of all things, a car commercial in 2018 along with the overall success the original artist, Kenshi Yonezu, had with his career after the song's release. -Ecstatic Vivace is also known as Uchouten Vivace. -It can't be a coincidence that Radetzky Can Can was revived on the same mix as a new rendition was added...
Check out the full patch notes here, including difficulties, and may you have an awesome April!
