The specifics for it are Really picky, Originally I just got some gskill ripjaws for like 10-20 bucks, but for some reason they just wouldnt work. Tried dozens of different sticks before finding one that actually worked... so. you may have to play around with buying ram for this before you settle on something. The one I linked to on newegg -SHOULD- work, But that is the only thing I have not purchased myself. I have modded the display cab to change out the 34" CRT for a 42" LCD. Ultimately, I'm planning to get a Prime 2 HDD upgrade kit. If I upgrade with your specs, I assume I can run Prime 2 no problem. Will I be able to run PIU NX in the MK9 box as well?

Just wanted to update on this issue... I upgraded to mk9 with the above specs successfully. Also, I picked up legit copies of NX2 and Fiesta EX on eBay. Fiesta EX runs great. NX2 displays the Andamiro bootloader progress bar splash spcreen but never progresses past that. NX2 is a SATA drive like Fiesta, do Im assuming that my NX1 likewise won't boot. Unless you can point me to so configuration that can be modified, it seems that NX 2 and NX wont run on mk9

Seems like one pops up on eBay every few weeks. Otherwise, Prime 2 will set you back about $1700. Additionally, Ive heard Dave & Busters may be upgrading to Prime 2 soon. If you know anyone in there locally, they actually toss stuff very often when upgrading. Could always preemptively hit up the manager or someone there if an option

I just did it in a mk6v2 GX cabinet with an LCD upgrade. Used the above parts and works great. A few issues: *****I haven't seen this mentioned and it caught me off guard. The power cable in my GX cab supplies 220v to the back of the computer. There is a simple switch on the back of your new power supply that can be flipped to 230v. At least in USA it is typically factory set to 110v. If you neglect to change that, you will burn up your power supply and pop a fuse by the kill switch in the cab. I did and it took me longer than it should have to figure this out. Luckily this error seems to only fry the power supply but makes a very loud pop and flash when switched on*** -The listed power supply above fits nicely, but some others fit a bit odd inthe andamiro case, just FYI -I needed to modify the HDD tray with a dremel because the new video card was too long and protruded into that space -no issues with RAM for me, 8gb of DDR3 working good

You may need to try again with the MK6 components to run NX2... And FYI, The cabinets run for whatever region they were originally designed for. My first GXv1 ran at 230, My second one was a GXv2, it ran at 230, And my current GXv2 runs at 115. So. It varies on your model. Im also surprised you had to modify things, Mine fit in just fine in the old MK6 case. Wish I had more info to offer you but NX2 has always been a problematic game for me, Even with two of the exact same motherboards I have seen it work on one but not the other, just from revision differences.

I opted for a different motherboard though as I got it for a deal and was only  able to get the 512MBA card. But I still wanted to leave the door open for Prime 2 one day. Anyway, I've got lag on anything with a BGA over 720p and was just wondering if anone else is experiencing this. Not a big deal since the prime series runs at 720p anyway but here are my stats. CPU: 3.4ghz Pentium Dual core RAM: 1gb GFX: evga 8400 gs 512mb MOBO: Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2

But with windows you may have to lower the resolution of your videos a little. My friends MK9 is slightly different than mine and I had to lower his to 640x480 to make them all run smoothly. while my MK9 can play 1920x1080 bgas with no problem.
