well this time it goes like this...

how many of u have wanted play your PIU PC's on Windows Vista and all that you get it's the error message window?

o.k. here's a little explanation of what you have to do to play your PIU PC's on Vista:

1st step open the pump pc folder and locate pumpy.exe
2nd step Right click on pumpy.exe and click on properties
3rd step áselect the compatibility with Win xp Sp 2
4th step Select all the settings .. all, less this one "run in 256 colors"
5th step Select run as an administrator
6th and last step: Voil'a!!!...play and enjoy on WIn VISTA

P.S. : This procedure only works with PIU PC's, it doesn't work for ARCADE DISCS

Hey there, I'm running all of the steps, but when the game opens up, the actual window is like 1/4 the size of the screen and is centered on the screen (which is completely black).

running Win7 btw. Can anyone help? :/

i realize that this is an old thread but since it pertains to Windows Vista i figured this would be the place to post. I followed the directions to run in Windows XP SP2 and as administrator. Every time i try to run the program i get this error message.

"Pump it up! The Fusion is unable to check the PUMPY PAD. Your PUMPY PAD may not be plugged in the keayboard port or CONTROL BOX's switch may not be properly position. Please ensure that the PUMPY PAD is properly installed and press OK.
Exit to leave the program."

After this message shows another error message instantly pops up ad say that pumpy.exe has stopped working and closes the program. i am using a laptop that does not have a PS/2 port. So i can only connect the pad via USB. this error shows up regardless if i have the pad connected or not. the pad i am using is the original Pump pad from the first pc game.

If anyone has information to help me i would greatly appreciate it. One idea i had is to convert the game to an ISO and mount it using a virtual drive. I dont have time today to do this so i would like some input as to if this would work or not.

what kind of OS are you using? try to take a look around on all the pages of this post, you'll probably find the solution that you're lookin' for.

Wow its been a while, re-Downloaded Prex 3 for nostalgia-gasm but its running extremely small. Yes I did run as admin / XP Sp2 and 3, 640x480 on/off etc. Changing desktop resolution doesn't work either, Any ideas?

ok so I figured out a solution to my miniaturized problem.
The game opens at 600x800 by default and centers itself.
I did the following:

1) Open PUMPY.exe (ruining as Administrator did not make a difference in my experience)

2) Open Task manager
[Ctr] + [Shift] + [ESC.] or
[Ctr] + [Alt] + [Delete] -> Task manager

3) Right click on Pumpy.exe -> Minimize (Windows bar may be missing)

4) Right click on the desk top to change the screen resolution.

5) Open Task manager AGAIN
[Ctr] + [Shift] + [ESC.] or
[Ctr] + [Alt] + [Delete] -> Task manager

6) Right click on Pumpy.exe -> Maximize

This worked for my set up
3 nvidia GTX 480s, AMD x8 on a secondary HDD Win 7 Ultimate x64.

I have been playing pump for quite some time on the PC, For those of you who are trying to play on Vista / Win7 / Win8 go ahead and grab this....

PumpyLaunchers2012win7.zip
http://www.sendspace.com/file/y73bh3
MIRROR:
http://depositfiles.com/files/rcbj7l4yt

Just copy them into your PIU`s root folder and replace your old pumpy.exe and whatnot, Included one for Premiere / Perfectcollection / Rebirth and one for everything after prex3.

Enjoy.

Open the nvidia control panel thing and look for the scaling settings. It's probably set to "maintain aspect ratio" or "do not scale". Your monitor could also have settings preventing it from being stretched to full screen.

I've tried to play with the nvidia control panel with no luck. Its set to No-Scaling and it still shrinks the image, monito settings only cover color, refresh rate, and brightness. Its annoying to do everything i mentioned but it works and im happy :) thanks though

Same problem. PumpPC HAS worked before on XP. I ran as admin, compatibility set to XP +SP2, etcetc. My driver is up to date too.

It boots up normally, but it says "You driver doesn't support openGL. "

Sound plays, video is delayed and is about 6 frames a minute

Maybe you must have eksternal VGA,

I dont have any problem with latest hardware
