I ran a 5:41 mile today for my wellness exam.  We need to run it under 6 minutes to get all of the points for this portion.  I felt like a beast.  2 years ago, I was happy with getting a 7:21 mile.

Yay for gambling. I performed happy tonight.

My throat and lungs slightly hurt from screaming in delight after that win.

I just hope you don't play too much poker to a place where you just start betting everything that you have

Moai. Start of the end. Explore the fate of Mars through Juliet, then realize, through Bermuda[TRIANGLE], that it is happening to us. With Human Dream, our society is corrupted, challenging God's conspiracy and supporting only the wealthy. Eventually, battle breaks out between the ones who conceal and ones who reveal. T'ik T'ak. Time goes by. Now, we are in a state of Coma, just recovering from recent events. We still wonder, however, if we will see each other again, through the Morning Eye.

I honestly don't think people understand how this game works. People make an initial deposit and then use that to build a bankroll slowly but surely. You gain and lose from this amount. It's not like I'm funding playing by consistently pulling out of my bank account. Any winnings are just taken from the bankroll.

I've been playing for a year now and I am still up. I'm certainly not going to have any problems with "betting everything that I have". Over the long term, this game is like chess. There isn't luck involved. If you know what you're doing, you can be a long term winner, unlike every other gambling game out there (with maybe the exception of Blackjack).

I'm sure that's true. I wouldn't deny that.

But please do respect me when I say there's still nothing wrong with my staying on the safe side. Especially when my competitive nature has gotten me in trouble before, and other members of my family have had bad addictions to gambling themselves.

Current piano projects: None atm.

Some of my performances: Feux D'artifice, by Claude Debussy, La Cathedrale Engloutie, by Debussy, Nocturne in B Major, Op. 62 no. 1, by Frederic Chopin, Ballade no. 1 in G Minor, by Chopin, Amberley Wild Brooks, by John Ireland,Prelude in D Minor, Op. 28 No. 24, by Chopin

Show me a person who describes anything as "overrated", and I'll show you a person who's run out of good ideas.

Absolutely. This game is not for everyone. If you don't have the patience, dedication, and anger control required to play, you will lose money and screw things up for yourself. I'd say I'm really good at controlling my frustration when it comes to getting killed on the river by some idiot who shouldn't have remained in the hand, but despite that it's taken a year of playing to really get confident in my game and be fully calm and not get affected when something like that happens.
