Heh. Feels like a long time since I have visited this site.

Well, it has been a long time. A lot of things have happened, but I've decided to teach in Korea with IMOE. I remember there were some posters who were living in Korea, was wondering if they still are there? ^^ I have no clue exactly where I will live, but it'll be somewhere in Incheon, which is not too far from Seoul. I'll be there at the end of the month!

I just got back to the US after living in Korea for a year. I can give you info and directions to all the arcades in Seoul when you decide to head over there. There are plenty of spots in Incheon though, so you probably shouldn't go to Seoul just for games. It takes about two hours by direct bus to go between the cities, and who knows how long on the subway. Go to the locations section of piugame.com and enter 인천 into the search at the bottom. Someone who works with you should be able to tell you where one is or help you get to it.

Good luck with the teaching gig. I've heard a lot of good (and bad) about those jobs. Keep us updated.

Thanks! Although I hope the list is a little out of date, since they all say NX. I want to have a Fiesta! :D

I have teaching experience from Japan, so I'm hoping it wont be too bad. Just wish I knew some Korean outside of Anyohaseyo. ^^;; Currently studying to prepare. At least the grammar, including particles, is exactly the same as Japanese. Just a little more difficult to read since they don't use Chinese characters that much.

You will probably never encounter any hanja in daily life (I think the only one I ever saw was 水, once), but hangul is extremely easy to learn and read. If you're interested in doing missions in PIU you'll have to learn a few keywords, of course. I've only been to one arcade that was willing to have a machine changed to English mode for me, and I kind of had to beg them. :P

And I meant check out the locations on http://www.piugame.com (direct link. open this after choosing your country on piugame). The ones on PH were all added during the NX era so they're out of date. There's three Fiesta machines listed, and a lot of NXA's.

Thanks. Looks like I can get back into Pump when I get there. :)

As for Korean...I know I have a lot of studying ahead of me. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of getting some iPad/iPhone apps and/or KoreanPod to study. Seems to be  a lot of resources out there...too much. Just want to get myself on a study plan and stick with it.

yoooo man. If you are going to Incheon, you should definitely check out the arcade at Bucheon Station.

Exit 3, right in front of you is a big ass FIESTA poster that says ENTER. Enter is the name of the arcade btw. Nice little platform if you want to show off your freestyle skills.

Sweet~! Thanks for letting me know. Maybe with some luck I'll live close to it. I know Incheon is big, so see what happens.

Ah...my plane leaves Monday 9am (EST), and I will get to Incheon 3pm (KST Korean time). Ah.....why am I wasting my time here? Need to finish packing. have my stuff seperated....just hard to decide what must stay, what I can take, and what must be trashed. :(

Ok. Not much time to post, but I can say I am in front of Bupyeong station (I really mean it. I can see it outside my window). So I guess I'm just four exits away from ENTER? When I get my apartment cleaned and arranged, I will have to check it out.

Remember, exit 3 (you should be passing a supermaket entrance of some sort, down the escalator or steps)

There is a arcade at the bottom of the steps if you look around BUTTTTTT, ENTER is a 5 minute walk straight ahead (Look for that big ass poster of the Fiesta anime girl)

There is also a nice arcade place in Bupyeong station as well (Along with DJ Max Technika and stuff).
The arcade is called Rodeo. Directions are:

Exit 7. You are going to be staring at a big ass 4 way intersection. You will have to go underground (through some shopping mall thingy) and pop up to daylight. Continue down the street until you see the arcade on your right.

If you go to Bupyeong Rodeo Game World on Saturday at 12 you can watch a little contest some guys are having to see who can pass Gun Rock nightmare with stage break on. Winner gets w100,000. Probably get to see Windforce play in person (and see his legendary shoes).
