1st, i'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

anyway, i played PIU Pro 2 today (driving distance from home) and was wondering if anyone knows anything about using USB stick on it. i imagine it's like ITG in that you can put your own charts & songs on a USB stick and play them on the machine. however, i don't know how i should organize the folders and files on the USB stick. any help is appreciated.

You cannot add your own songs on Pro 2 like you could in ITG. You can make your own charts for existing songs, though.

EDIT: Also, the general consensus here is that Pro topics don't go in the PIU - General forum. They should probably go in the areas for other music games.

You can put your own charts in the "edits" folder.  The naming convention is strict so google pump pro 2 edits, there are a couple sites out there.

(Also at Round1 at least, PIU Pro 2 is more real than the shitty pads on Fiesta EX and Fiesta... no one plays those awful games, whereas there's always someone on Pro 2.)

The pads STILL aren't working even after the foam mod?  Even with new sensors and all that jazz, or is it that it takes too long to make changes?  I didn't get that impression from Philver0, but he is a big guy. :p

I'll probably stop by Round 1 once on Sept. 9, if I do end up going to the FF concert in LA.

i've seen that page before but i don't even know how make all those files; but it also says that those are on the usb stick after you take the stick out of the machine, which is why i thought maybe i only have to make some of the files, and the machine makes the rest.

They work, but it feels like you're stomping on rocks.  It's a fucking travesty to play on so everyone hogs the Pro 2 machine (except Phil).

Also while the foam mods definitely helped (i.e., I can hit triples now, and I couldn't hit any triples before mod), the pads are still very subpar.  It should never be this difficult to hold freeze arrows / long notes, and the pads shouldn't be punishing you by killing your timing and stamina.

I hope you visit, so more people will be able to confirm that new Andamiro pads are shit >_>

(Pro 2 is quite nice though, we've got amazing records on that machine.  e.g., 99.90% on Gargoyle CZ, a WR I believe.)

Well, I will be there on the 10th and maybe the 11th, so I'll see if the pads are like they were when I stopped by briefly during AX this year.  They didn't feel that bad, but they weren't as good as Gemini's which I played on during USPF.  Although I'm used to playing on eh pads, especially given how often I've played at D&B here (yuck).

Sadly, don't really care to play Pro 2 both because I have access to it here, and because I had way more fun playing Fiesta EX both for speeding and because it's more freestyler friendly (personal opinion/history of playing Korean PIU since 2000).  (But some of the charts on Pro 2 are really fun, so I had fun when I went to play it up here in the Bay Area)

When creating edits for Pro 2 you have to remember one important thing. You must put one of the following before the song's name in the edit file. See the examples below.

For Songs From Pro 1 Use:

#SONG:Pump It Up Pro/Song Name;

For Songs From Encore Pack Use:

#SONG:Pump It Up Pro Encore/Song Name;

For Songs From Pro 2 Use:

#SONG:Pump It Up Pro 2/Song Name;

If you don't use the scheme above the majority of your edits won't show up. It's important to always do this so you make absolutely sure your edits do show up.

Enjoy!

CREv.
