Before I get started, Shoutouts to Valius and Sebastian for being the ones to do the work of testing the voltages used and making sure everything would be alright.
Now on to the guide.
What you need ;
2x 4pin Male Molex Connectors (or 3pin, just dont need the 5v)
2x PIU 6pin pad power connectors (Spare ones unless you just want to gut your cab, and make sure they are the ones that will connect to your pads, Not the ones that are inside of the pads!)
Heat shrink. (3/8" to 3/32nd")
Something to heat up the heatshrink (Heat gun, soldering iron, hotplate, Whatever you can use, if you use a lighter be god damn careful, this isnt designed to be heated by open flame)
Start off by cutting off the end of your male molex connectors wires as far as you can leaving you with as much wire length as possible. (You want a longer power connector right?)
Next, Cut off the ends of the pad power connectors. Again leaving wire length.
Now, Strip down the wire for your molex connectors (Just the two grounds and the 12v, You will not use the 5v, So do what you wish with it)
Next you need to strip down the ends of the wires for the PIU pad power connector, Do not do the green or blue wires though, you will not be using them.
Take your heatshrink out and slide it down over the wire, I used one for each individual wire we will be connecting, and one big one for the full set of wires.
Now, One at a time you are going to twist together a set of wires, Followed by heatshrinking them down locking them in place.
the wires that need to be twisted together are the following.
[Molex 12v+] ---- [PIU Brown]
[Molex 12v+] ---- [PIU Red]
[Molex ground 1] ---- [PIU Yellow]
[Molex ground 2] ---- [PIU Orange]
Yes, You will be crossing the single 12v+ to both the PIU brown and red wires while the grounds are both seperate.
After you finish connecting the wires together you should have something like this.
If you decided to heatshrink the bulk of the wires together, Go ahead and slide down your last big piece of heatshrink over the wires (I was dumb and did not get a large enough piece, So it will not fit over them like it should, instead it will just be holding the wires together)
Now, Take some zip ties out for extra security, And just pull them down tightly directly at the middle of where you twisted the wires, and slightly further down a bit, just to make sure that they are held on tightly not only by the compression of the shrinkwrap, but zip ties compressing the shrink wrap to the wires.
Once finished, You will have a Very nice looking little PIU pad to molex connector, Meaning from any generic PC, using 4 molex connectors you can power both dancepads, the jamma pcb, and piuio, Letting you play pump it up with nothing but an MK9, No cabinet or special things needed!
Hope you find this guide useful! Buhbye!
EDIT: Been awhile but, Blue is also a ground, No idea wth green is for though.
So it can be
12v molex = piu red and brown
ground = piu blue yellow orange
??? = piu green
