Will an old mk3 piuio and jamma work with this mk9 build?
I can not find a newer piuio anywhere.

For anyone upgrading to mk9, I wanted to provide a few extra tips.
I just did it in a mk6v2 GX cabinet with an LCD upgrade. Used the above parts and works great.

A few issues:

*****I haven't seen this mentioned and it caught me off guard. The power cable in my GX cab supplies 220v to the back of the computer. There is a simple switch on the back of your new power supply that can be flipped to 230v. At least in USA it is typically factory set to 110v. If you neglect to change that, you will burn up your power supply and pop a fuse by the kill switch in the cab. I did and it took me longer than it should have to figure this out. Luckily this error seems to only fry the power supply but makes a very loud pop and flash when switched on***

-The listed power supply above fits nicely, but some others fit a bit odd inthe andamiro case, just FYI

-I needed to modify the HDD tray with a dremel because the new video card was too long and protruded into that space

-no issues with RAM for me, 8gb of DDR3 working good

So I was replaceing my mk6(zero) with a mk9 and didnít change the power supply from 115 to 230 and blew my psu. I replaced the psu and the pc works now but the machines power isnít. Is there a fuse for the actual machine psu? I donít think thereís a kill switch because Iíve had my back cover off since I got the cab(GX).

nvm fixed. The fuse was right on the outside of the power supply and it came with a spare.

HI,

so I have no idea about CPU or whatsoever, however I was looking into buying an FX cab that was originally with NX, but it was running Prime2 for the past year just fine.

My friend just told me that I need to check the hardware, because older machines came with MK3 or something but for newer versions it should be MK9. ... so I looked into it, but it's not like they labeled it with "MK9"..

so.. how do I know that it is MK9? other than the fact that it was running prime2 fine, so can I assume it is MK9?

from what I could see on the label i know this:

CPU: intel Celeron E3400/1 8GHz
Chipset: intel G41C-GS (ASRocK)
RAM: 1GB PC3 10600U
Graphic: nVidia GeForce GT610 1GB 64BIT DD3
HDD: SATA 250GB or 500GB (5400RPM)
Power Supply 300W or 350W

and then there is one more sticker saying:
GT610 1G 64BIT DDR3
and some serial number and barcode

Thanks for your help =)
