I'll start.  I just beat Mega Man 1 for the first time.  (This is also the first Mega Man game I have ever beaten.)
Posted by: MoonLight129 on 09:05 CST :: 10/25/2008

the only megaman's i've beaten are 3, 5 and 6
Posted by: Guest on 10:14 CST :: 10/25/2008

The original NES Super Mario Brothers!
I finally saved the princess YAY!! :D

Posted by: Jared on 13:15 CST :: 10/25/2008

...Aaaaand I follow up this morning's accomplishment with two more - Mega Man 2 and 3.  :D

Posted by: Jared on 08:58 CST :: 11/01/2008

I just beat Mega Man 4!  Yay.

Edit: And 5.

Edit again: And I (the first GB one).

Posted by: the_peacemaker on 18:13 CST :: 11/01/2008

Played around on Super Mario World on the Virtual Console for a few minutes.

In the bonus game (that you get for 100 end-level bonus *'s), I got all 9 rotating blocks to be the same symbol for the first time, EVER.

I first got the game when I was 7 years old and I've never done that before. :P

Posted by: Jared on 19:52 CST :: 11/01/2008

Awesome.  I can't even do that on a regular basis (although I swear I've done it at least once).

Also, I just beat Mega Man II (the GB one).  Woohoo!

Edit: Mega Man 6 is done too!  That means that I've finally beat every NES Mega Man game.  I never before thought that I could or would ever finish ONE of them, let alone all six.

Posted by: xxxtaco on 21:20 CST :: 11/02/2008

I got Priere to join my party in disgaea, and now im working on leveling legendary items. Its so boring, but it keeps my attention for so long D:

EDIT: i thought this was the What are you playing thread, but i guess this counts as an accomplishment also

Posted by: the_peacemaker on 01:33 CST :: 11/13/2008

Got a gold medal on Course 6 of Kirby's Dream Course (the SNES game), with 15 shots. :wink:
Posted by: Jared on 20:28 CST :: 11/13/2008

Nice one!

Also, I just beat Mega Man 7.  Final final boss is a real PITA, that's for sure.

Edit: Mega Man III (GB one) today!  Finally.

Posted by: Jared on 15:47 CST :: 11/15/2008

Eh, double post, why not.  Mega Man 8 beaten.
Posted by: Jared on 16:45 CST :: 11/19/2008

Aw, come on, guys, there must be someone else beating games around here.  :P

I just beat Mega Man IV (GB).  Fantastic game.

Posted by: valius on 01:56 CST :: 11/20/2008

It'll probably be a month before I'll finish Tales of Symphonia 2... though maybe I can get 96 in Super Mario World. :)
Posted by: Thanh on 19:14 CST :: 11/28/2008

...I think I killed Ghost Squad at my arcade.  Today was my first time playing in weeks too x[

-Notable mentions that costed me loads of points.
*Did not get the last headshot at the end of stage 2
*Did not kill the boss at the end of stage 3
I hate nerves so much haha.

Posted by: cpubasic13 on 20:16 CST :: 11/28/2008

Nice job making that high score list funny at least.

Beat Ratchet and Clank Going Commando for the first time. Damn not having great armor for the last three levels!

Now challenge mode is hard as hell.

Posted by: Thanh on 22:22 CST :: 11/28/2008

I'm running out of odd smileys and lolable stuff to add on.
Posted by: cpubasic13 on 21:50 CST :: 11/30/2008

You need t('-'t)
I will laugh if I see that ever.

Chapter 7 in Mother 3 and having the suspense ruined because of Brawl.

FUCK YOU, SAKURAI!

Posted by: katanagash on 21:01 CST :: 4/12/2009

In Smash Bros Melee, I finally beat a good Falco player for the first time with Captain Falcon.  Those short hop lasers are a huge pain in the ass for me.
Posted by: Jared on 18:25 CST :: 4/22/2009

Hey, someone bumped my thread :P

I've been making progress on I Wanna Be The Guy lately - I've beaten 4 bosses and I'm working on Mother Brain at the moment.

Posted by: Jared on 13:19 CST :: 5/16/2009

Double post.  Am I the only one who gives a crap about this thread?  :(

I beat Mega Man 9 the other day.

Posted by: valius on 03:57 CST :: 5/18/2009

Well, pinned this thread, since we might as well have it more visible.

I beat Mega Man 1 last week... ouch.

Posted by: F-haru 1952 on 15:35 CST :: 6/11/2009

Beat Mega Man 3 and 9 about 2 months ago 'cause beating MM games is cool.

Hehe, not yet.  Haven't played it in a while.

I put up a 104 in super shot to win a 500 ticket jackpot at the Indy area Dave and Busters over the weekend.
Posted by: Noodles on 17:47 CST :: 6/22/2009

When I was at Gatti's, I played the one game that has the little lights in a big circle, the light travels around and you gotta get it in the middle of your station. Well, I got it finally. 302 ticket payout.
Posted by: Jared on 18:50 CST :: 7/16/2009

Finished Big Bang Mini's Arcade mode!  The final boss had me laughing sooooo hard, it was that funny (and awesome).

From the two games Arkedo's released so far (this and Nervous Brickdown, which I still can't beat...) I'm very impressed with their approach to game design.  The graphics and sound are very varied within each game, which really sets each area apart, but they didn't skimp on the gameplay either - pure arcadey goodness.

Posted by: xxxtaco on 00:08 CST :: 10/20/2009

I won the jackpot in Flaming Finger twice in a row on saturday
Posted by: cpubasic13 on 01:38 CST :: 10/20/2009

Managed to get a few Infernal Staffs and Megiddo Cannons on Disgaea 2 on my recent save.

Which is pretty awesome considering I haven't done a lot in this save yet.

Posted by: katanagash on 09:56 CST :: 10/26/2009

alrighty, here's what I've done:

Punch-Out Wii: I beat Mr. Sandman, title defense mode Round 1 TKO without getting knocked down
Super Smash Bros. Melee: 4 stocked a Roy user with Falco (mostly of a huge difference between me and my friend's skill lvls)

Posted by: Jared on 23:07 CST :: 11/23/2009

Just finished Joy Mech Fight on Hard difficulty.  Took a while...
Posted by: Mimi-Loves-You-All on 13:51 CST :: 11/25/2009

12th rank in tetris on-line =P
Posted by: Jared on 09:52 CST :: 11/26/2009

Which version?  DS?
Posted by: Mimi-Loves-You-All on 10:50 CST :: 11/26/2009

no, I don't have ds
it's on tetrisfriends.com

Posted by: the_peacemaker on 02:33 CST :: 12/03/2009

At the D&B, I hit the jackpot on the Flaming Finger game.

So apparently it's not rigged. :O

That game is so much easier if you wrap your finger in a towel. lol. Your finger will slide through the whole thing a lot easier and faster.

A wet towel or a dry towel?
Posted by: Chris Lee on 04:50 CST :: 12/10/2009

Well at D&B Today, after $25 and a bunch of games of Pump, I got (after adding them all up while looking over my credit history) 22,233 tickets. Thanks to that Simpsons Carnival coin game, and half off days. Amazing I can get 2 brand new x-box 360 games for only $25.

The point is, they better upgrade when the next Pump mix comes out, or else I'm gonna get back up into the 150,000 ticket range again.

Posted by: mrCLICKman on 01:54 CST :: 12/14/2009

I can backhand slice a ball and have it bounce back over the net into my court. I did this like twice in one day, maybe if I work on this a lot, I'll have an epic dropshot.

I unfortunately haven't seen a single game in D&B that I like for ANY system. :( Maybe our D&B just doesn't offer good ones.

Before we got NXA, I played a game called Hoopla or something. Dropping a ring around a crown. I was able to get 200 tickets for 3.5 credits. But lately I was playing a game called Winers' Wheel (Actually made by Andamiro). I used to have it down where I could have a 40-50% chance of getting 250 tickets for 1 coin (1 coin for 1 credit). However, it wasn't doing the trick.

The game next to it is a coin Simpsons Carnival game. You have to roll the coin and get the letters W-I-N. W and N are ramps, and I is straight down the middle avoiding a plastic Bart on a skateboard. Over here, each letter is 40 tickets, and all 3 is an extra 260 tickets. You have to get all 3 in a row. If it lands in another slot, you gotta try again, but if it falls on the board and not into a hole, you can keep trying. So it's possible to get 380 tickets for 3 coins, And I was in the 80 to 90% range of getting all 3. That's how I got so many tickets on wednesday. Not every game is a rip off. You gotta find the right ones.

I did get my Ipod touch. Under $100. Including credits used for games of Pump.

Posted by: Jared on 13:31 CST :: 4/02/2010

Yesssss.

Mega Man 10 cleared, and then cleared again on Easy in under an hour.  When they said Easy, they were NOT kidding.
Cave Story cleared on Normal (bad ending), and then again on Easy (good ending).  I'll try for the good ending again when I play Curly Story later.

Aaand... made progress on IWBTG, finally!  Beat Mother Brain, and then beat Dracula (Best.  Spoof.  Ever.), and now I've saved right before the Mecha Dragon (tried several times last night but got tired).

Posted by: Jared on 19:34 CST :: 4/02/2010

I should have waited until later to post.  :D  I'm now in the final area before The Guy.
Posted by: Jared on 20:16 CST :: 5/04/2010

Some Virtual Console accomplishments from the past few days:

Beat Boss Butch on Kirby's Dreamland 3.  Now I have a 100% file, finally.

Beat the Hard course on Columns III for the first time!  The final boss is a huge pain in the ass.  I used up all my continues before I beat him.

Finally beat Culex in SMRPG.  Then, after that, I managed to bring my jump record from 25 to 50 in one swoop.  Wish I'd been able to do that before the fight.  :P

Posted by: xyouxarexuglyx2 on 20:35 CST :: 5/04/2010

beat FF6
got 80% through FF10 and then started getting pounded with homework for the last two weeks

goal that i wish to accomplish in the next few months:
become the 5th best player in Arizona for SSBM (currently 7th)

Cleared Chapter 7 of F-Zero GX's Story Mode.  (On the lowest difficulty, but still, it's supposedly the hardest chapter.)

Now I need to race in the GP a lot more so I can afford the next chapter.  :P
