Alright, so here's the deal. Me, Wayne, Chaddly, and Blueball made a trek over to Florida to break in Pawprint's NX2. There's some big stuff going on here, folks.

Okay, first off.. yes, I've recorded about two hours of videos so far (line-outs) of various stuff ingame, new mods, menus, etc... I'll post those up soon. We didn't get the USB to work... the soldering, etc is a big, complicated, annoying mess. I predict it'll be HELL for most arcade owners to install this son of a bitch. And no, you can't connect USB to the back of the machine.

But why am I creating this thread? Well, we've uncovered something very very special.

No, there's no way (so far) to screw with the INI file to unlock content. The machine rejects anything we alter. So what we did is dig through everything through the machine in Linux and we discovered pure gold. Anyway, for the hackers - there's no longer a step.dat - there's individual folders for each song and individual files for each set of steps, like the NOT days. We also discovered something beautiful. The file that sorts all the WorldMAX mission information is an UNENCRYPTED, FULLY EDITABLE TEXT FILE WHERE YOU CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING FROM MISSIONS, SONGS INCLUDED, REQUIREMENTS, TEXT, AND UNLOCKS. We're here in the process of converting Rootinia to unlock everything in the game plus do whatever we want with the missions. The default mission, which we're all whoring out to death, is the Deja Vu full mission. It's hilarious. I've got all five of our attempts recorded in one video.

I'll post more stuff later... I've got to get back to playing. Oh, and we're gonna do all kinds of funky crap too... we got Wayne to record really offensive comments for the S, A, B, C, D, F to replace the original files. For example, when you get an S, instead of "yeah, I know you can" you get "Get a fucking life, you fucking fuck!"

Ok, screw this. Back to playing. Be back later.

:O heyyy! that's a nice discovery, you should try this up if you feel like you got the time:

Backup the worldmax data, then "hack" it so all of the missions objetives are "ALREADY CLEARED" (just like that one mission which I forgot it's name) so you guys just have to visit each mission just to clear it, that way you could find out all of the hidden anothers and full songs yay!

(Just a suggestion)

Important question: Is there a stage.cfg or something similar?

The first thing you should attempt is getting the Worldmax only songs back into arcade station. :D

I made an insane suggestion and Pawprint's going to do it. We're  going to have a program where you can create your own WorldMAX. Not just missions, but your own WorldMAX itself. This is hilariously great.
Win.

Not that we can see.

Apparently the only thing we have insane control over right now is WM. (this insane control is getting bigger... we might be able to open roadblocks, directly lead people to certain other missions, etc. It's really cool.

if you get a chance, I'd like to see an listing of the files on the drive
(individual song folders are not necessary, obviously)

If this was a couple weeks later, I would have come down there with you guys, lol.

If you have the soldering instructions post them, I MIGHT (stressing might) be able to make some sense of them.  If not I can find someone who will.

Wait I double-read it and you can change the text? haha oh man. Someone change the text to the Deja Vu mission to name it "Sex" and the objectives "Fuck yeah."

Wait you can change missions around a lot too. Explain how much control we have. Can we, say, make charts, put those in, and then add in a hell of a lot of gimmicks?
