I stumbled upon a video of someone sanding down the corners of DDR panels so they are completely flush with the surface of the pads.
Since they are similar to original PIU panels, I wanted to do this on my own.
I'm at a point where my pads are still too 'sunken in' to sustain any gameplay on harder songs. I can't add anymore material or foam either though because then I get stuck sensors until the foam wears down again.
Anyway, I can't afford to upgrade all my panels to TX/CX panels. So far, I've only got just the yellow panels changed.

I found this video of someone doing it with PIU pads.

I was wondering if anyone else has done this and has some pointers.
I plan on just using the sanding bit with my dremel as I don't have all that other stuff.

Yes, if you have a small circular saw for using it with your bremel you can saw off the corners easily, just do it in a steady and slow fashion, don't rush!
Or you could use a hacksaw to do it "manually" but it may take some time and practice.

As for the result, all I can say it's fair enough for the low cost, but honestly you are not going to get the same feeling as the TX/LX pads. In my personal experience it's good enough for high level playing so I suggest you give it a try.

Good luck.
