Hey guys, I am looking for an used Piu PRO 1 HDD to use on my machine. I currently own a MK9 board, and I am not sure if PRO will work correctly with sound (X2 to NX1 won't). So, can anyone tell me if it works correctly on a MK9 board?

Also do anyone know where can I buy an used HDD?

Thanks.

Pro supports MK6 or MK9.  The original Pro hard drives shipped on IDE hard drives and the later one's shipped on Sata hard drives.  You would also require the Pro Control Panel/Button Board and also the Button Board I/O in order to use Pro on your machine.  Revision 5 and later stripped out any keyboard functionality in the executable.  I haven't seen but only 1-2 Pro kits for sale at all ever so far.  Pro was mostly sold as a brand new FX machine with a very small amount of GX upgrade kits and a even smaller amount of FX kits.  Andamiro is still currrently selling Pro 1 kits for the exact same price as Pro 2 kits so you won't get a deal there either.

I have checked with Andamiro, and PRO 1 isn't available anymore. Revision 5 would not work for me, as I wanted to play custom songs on PRO, and the original version would work fine instead of adapting the PC version to work with the pads.

About the select buttons, I could set the pads to select the song, so:

PIU-1  PIU-3 : Select
PIU-5 : Confirm
PIU-7 : Enter options menu

Or even a regular keyboard would do it.

Well, I will wait and see if someone is willing to sell the original hdd below revision 5. Thanks!

Pro never really supported custom songs without hacking the machine. I was never aware of anybody but Jason Dread performing that, either.

Yes, that's what I wanna do. Pro is really simple to add custom songs on it. Other than that, I'd rather play Fiesta  :)

I've never seen anyone else do this. Jason Dread probably just encrypted the packages, too.

If you can do it, that's pretty sick.

Btw, Dread dropped out of the Pro 2 project. Not sure what did it but he said it felt like the right thing to do.

Hacked Pro has been completed for a long time.  Its just the fact that we are like the Mexicans that don't release anything though we don't flaunt it with a ton of videos either.  Because quite frankly, until you can find me some good 5 panel simfiles to install on Pro, what's the point.  Most of them are streamy piles of crap.
